Editorial Board
Alice Tin, Senior Financial Officer
Alice Tin is the Senior Financial Officer of TuftScope for 2008 - 2010. She is a senior majoring in History and Community Health, and is enrolled in the combined Bachelors and Masters in Public Health Program. She plans on concentrating in Epidemiology and Biostatistics for her Masters degree, and has an interest in health disparities, particularly the role of language access. In her spare time, Alice enjoys playing her violin and is currently in a piano trio.
Avigya Shrestha, Manuscript & Layout
Avigya Shrestha is the Associate Manuscript and Layout Editor for TuftScope for 2009 – 2010. She is interested particularly in healthcare policy and reform initiatives. As an editor for TuftScope she has been instrumental in redeveloping the TuftScope layout. Avigya plans to attend dental school after graduation. She is a sophomore who has not yet declared a major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
David Gennert, Acquisitions
David Gennert is the Associate Acquisitions of TuftScope for Spring 2010. Previously, David served as the Associate Copy Editor for TuftScope for Fall 2009. He is on the undergraduate pre-medical track with the goal of attending medical school after graduation. His academic interests include biology and community health. Outside of academia, he is Technical Director for Pens, Paint, and Pretzels, the Tufts theater society, and he plays clarinet in the Tufts Wind Ensemble. David is a sophomore who has not yet declared a major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Eriene-Heidi Sidhom, News and Analysis
Eriene-Heidi Sidhom is the Associate News and Analysis Editor for 2009 - 2010. She is currently a freshman and has not yet declared a major, but it interested in biochemistry, mathematics and hopes to attend medical school. Outside of academics, Eriene has enjoyed coordinating community day events at Tufts, like Halloween on the Hill, and is a Health Educator as part of Peer Health Exchange.
Max Leiserson, Website Administrator
Mark (known as Max) Leiserson is the Internet Editor and Website Administrator of TuftScope for 2009 - 2011. Max is a junior Computer Science major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Caroline Melhado, Research Highlights
Caroline Melhado is the research highlights editor for 2009 - 2010. Her interests include environmental health and health disparities in urban Boston. Outside of academics she runs varsity Cross Country & Track and Field at Tufts, participates in Tufts Mountain Club and teaches ESL to Tufts' indispensable One Source workers. Caroline hopes to attend medical school upon graduation and focus on infectious disease in refugee and displaced populations. Caroline is an Environmental Science and Anthropology major in the College of Arts and Science.
Jeremy A. Nowak, Copy Editor
Jeremy Nowak is the Copy Editor of Tuftscope for 2009-2010. Besides loving Tuftscope, Jeremy is also passionate about comedy and the performing arts, as he is also a member of Major: Undecided and the Stand Up Comedy Collective. He hopes to one day either be a professional stand up comedian or play a larger role in the medical world. Jeremy is a prospective Chemistry major and a potential English literature minor in the College of Arts and Science.
